The First Home Project

Who will care for them when we're gone?

For families of adults with profound autism, that question deserves more than promises. It deserves a plan—and a place to call home.

ASD Allies is raising support to pursue its first residential care home and develop a family-informed model of lifelong support.

Why we're building

Awareness isn't enough. Build something.

Families raising children with profound autism know that care does not end at adulthood. Safe housing, individualized support, communication access, meaningful daily life, and accountability matter for a lifetime.

ASD Allies was founded to help create that future—guided by families, qualified professionals, and the rights and choices of the people who will call these places home.

Our first goal: one home.

We intend to identify and acquire an established, licensed adult residential facility and its property, subject to financing, licensing, regulatory approvals, and due diligence.

We would preserve continuity for existing residents, strengthen care standards, and introduce appropriate new residents through natural vacancies when the facility can safely meet their needs.

No property has been purchased, and ASD Allies does not currently operate a residential care facility.

One home. A model we can prove. A future we can scale.

01 / ACQUIRE

Start with an established home

Evaluate existing facilities serving adults with developmental disabilities and purchase only after thorough financial and regulatory review.

02 / STRENGTHEN

Build the ASD Allies standard

Develop family-informed policies, staff training, safeguarding, communication access, and measurable care quality.

03 / REPLICATE

Grow what works

Document results, build financial sustainability, and use evidence from the first home to guide future expansion.

We believe in care with accountability.

Residents' dignity, safety, preferences, privacy, and rights come first. Our proposed standards will be developed with appropriate professional, legal, and regulatory guidance.
